WHO WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO WORK WITH?

The service is intended for people who can benefit from low level support, i.e. short, planned interventions at key times with further infrequent interventions at times of crisis or emergency. Accordingly, the service is not suitable for people who require intensive support i.e. interventions that are for a longer duration and which occur more frequently, e.g. on a daily basis for more than an hour at a time. Typically this includes people with enduring or high support needs or people whose lifestyles are chaotic to the extent that they are permanently in crisis and cannot cope with a planned support package.

Apna Ghar reserves the right to refuse service to anyone with a recent history of violence. This is decided on a case by case basis as part of the assessment process.
